Art. 14. À Superintendência de Normas Contábeis e de Auditoria compete:
I - estabelecer normas e padrões de contabilidade a serem observados pelas companhias abertas, fundos e instrumentos de investimento coletivo e outros emissores;
II - credenciar e fiscalizar a atividade dos auditores independentes, pessoas físicas e jurídicas, e propor normas e procedimentos de auditoria a serem observados no âmbito do mercado de valores mobiliários; e
III - elaborar pareceres sobre assuntos contábeis e de auditoria, no âmbito do mercado de valores mobiliários.
